Al M. Rocca

Al M. Rocca is Professor Emeritus at Simpson University in Redding, California. He helped author the History-Social Science Framework and Standards for the state of California. As editor of the Social Studies Review (Journal of the California Council for the Social Studies), Dr. Rocca received recognition as an outstanding editor by the National Council for the Social Studies. He has authored numerous articles on social studies education and teaching. As a book author, Dr. Rocca completed a 5th grade and a college-level textbook on United States History. His current publications include local histories of Northern California and a children's historical-fiction series on "Courage in History" and a new series on Endangered Species.
