Asa Drake

Asa Drake is the pen name used by C. Dean Andersson (me) to write five novels: 1) CRIMSON KISSES (Avon 1981), 2) THE LAIR OF ANCIENT DREAMS (Avon 1982), 3) WARRIOR WITCH OF HEL (Warner/Questar 1985), 4) DEATH RIDERS OF HEL (Warner/Questar 1986), and 5) WEREBEASTS OF HEL (Warner/Questar 1986). CRIMSON KISSES was a very early "how Dracula became a Vampire" novel. CK was rewritten and expanded as "I AM DRACULA by C. Dean Andersson" (Zebra 1993, reprinted 1998). THE LAIR OF ANCIENT DREAMS is a "Lovecraftian horror-romance, a Tale of the Goddess set in the historical days of the Inquisition. It is the story of two reincarnated lovers from ancient Sumeria who, together, seek Lamashtu, an ancient Goddess long since warped into a Demoness. The "Hel Trilogy" is the first three Sword and Sorcery books of Bloodsong, a Norse warrior woman fighting to save and protect her daughter and folk from evils and threats in Viking Age Scandinavia. The Bloodsong books were reprinted by Hawk Books in 2000 as WARRIOR WITCH, WARRIOR REBEL, and WARRIOR BEAST, all three under my real name, C. Dean Andersson. They were also publishd in Russia in Russian language hardbacks in 2002 by Alpha-Kniga. I am currently preparin an e-book omnibus with expanded scenes and new material written exclusively for the e-book edition that is titled BLOODSONG! HELx3, to be published by Event Horizon. I am also now writing a 4th Bloodsong novel, BLOODSONG! VALKYRIES OF HEL.
