Stephen B. Presser

Stephen Presser is the Raoul Berger Professor of Legal History Emeritus at Northwestern University School of Law. He is a leading American legal historian and expert on shareholder liability for corporate debts. He is frequently an invited witness before committees of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives on issues of constitutional law. He holds a joint appointment with the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and has also taught in Northwestern's history department. During the academic year 2018-2019, he is serving as Visiting Scholar in Conservative Thought and Policy at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
