Anne Stratton

A. Y. Stratton grew up in Glenview, Illinois, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Vassar College with a major in English. As a child she had trouble sleeping, so she made up adventures starring herself and imagined she'd write them down one day.

She has written articles and columns for several Milwaukee-area magazines and newspapers. A crazed baseball fan, she sporadically writes a column called "Anne in the Stands" for the Milwaukee Brewers web site.

The idea for her debut romantic suspense novel, Buried Heart, occurred to her when she and her husband were on a tour of Mayan ruins.

Buried Secrets, published in 2013, is also a romantic suspense story, but this one takes place in a brutally cold winter, when a man and a woman break into the same house on the same night, and find themselves in the midst of a vendetta.

Stratton still makes up stories as goes to sleep, but now she saves them in her computer.
