Garold L. Markle

Gary brings real world experience from 17 years in HR leadership in Fortune 500 corporations coupled with over 20 years of teaching small and mid-sized organizations how to retain employees, develop talent, and increase profitability through strong, aligned leadership and a proven coaching process.

His work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, The Atlanta Journal, The Washington Post, and the Detroit Free Press. He's a highly-rated keynote speaker for industry and trade associations and an award-winning speaking resource for Vistage. Over the last two decades, Gary has presented to more than 800 CEO and key executive groups across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Asia. He’s also a recurring guest lecturer at Texas A&M.

A past founder and award-winning chair of a Vistage CEO think tank in Atlanta and a former TEC Canada “Speaker of the Year,” his career started as an HR generalist for prominent companies, including Exxon, Shell and Phelps Dodge. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and a master’s degree in the same discipline from Purdue University. Gary earned Senior Executive Human Resources certification from the University of Michigan Graduate School of Business.

Gary currently functions as CEO of Catalytic Coaching, Inc. He was the founder of Energage, Inc. and became SVP/Partner for Workplace Dynamics when it absorbed his former company. He was part of the executive team at Workplace Dynamics when they adopted the acquired company’s name (Energage, LLC) and remains an investor and business partner at Energage.

Gary and his wife, Gail, live surrounded by family in the beautiful and peaceful north Georgia mountains. It's a great spot to think, write and reflect.
