Joseph Hurka

Joseph Hurka was born in Beloit, Wisconsin, and grew up on the north shore of Boston. He earned an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop, and currently teaches writing at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. His first book, "Fields of Light: A Son Remembers His Heroic Father," won the Pushcart Editors' Book Award. He lives in southern New Hampshire.
