Thomas Morris Spencer

Tom Spencer was born in Beeville, Texas, to a family of academics. He grew up in North Little Rock Arkansas. He received a B.A. in History from Trinity University, an M.A. in History from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a PhD in History from Indiana University. He spent fifteen years as a history professor and five years as director of the Honors Program at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. After five years as Director of Honors Student Affairs for the Sandra and Jack Pine Honors College and seven years as Dean of the Honors College at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Tom has moved back to the Midwest and serves as the Executive Director of the Honors College at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio.
