April Henry is the author of 30-plus mysteries and thrillers for teens and adults. Her books have appeared on the New York Times bestseller list, won the Edgar and Anthony awards, been translated into a dozen languages, and appeared on over 50 state reading lists. She got her start as a writer in fifth grade, when she sent a short story about a six-foot tall frog who loved peanut butter to noted author Roald Dahl. He took it to lunch and showed it to his editor, who contacted April to ask about publishing the story in Puffin Post, a British children's magazine.
