My first book, "Under the Influence" (co-authored by Jim Milam, Ph.D.) was published 45 years ago. My most recent book, "The Wisdom of Imperfection: How Stories Heal and Make Us Whole" will be published in March 2027 by Broadleaf Books. All in all, I’ve written 18 books with more than two million sold. I wrote a newspaper column for three years titled “Straight Talk” focused on addiction and recovery and founded the nonprofit Trilogy Recovery Community in Walla Walla, Washington.
