I live with my family north of Boston in a town where your dump sticker gives you free parking at the beach, and it's okay to have horses in a subdivision (which I do!)

I danced through Bates College in Maine in the 80's and received a degree in psychology. After graduation when I discovered that the gig managing a dance company in NYC didn't intend to pay me actual money, I parlayed my way into a career in finance, eventually earning the title, "Bond Queen" as I traveled the country for Fidelity Investments giving seminars on how to invest in fixed income.

When I left Wall St. after more than a decade to have children, I was passionate about helping people become more informed investors. I wrote "Getting Started in Bonds" to be entertaining as well as easily understood because usually when you say "bonds" people's eyes glaze over, and you can't learn a lot when you're snoring into your soup.

The book lead to a bunch of articles and appearances in national print and television, as well as business consulting. But after my husband had been "unemployed" (he busted his butt as a handyman), from any corporate job for almost 2 years, the call of the pen lead me to begin writing the novel "Running to Stay Upright" about job loss, family, and friendship. After 13 years, the story developed many unexpected, serendipitous layers and came to be effected by my new career as a Life/Executive/Business Coach.

Whether in my fiction or nonfiction, my intention is to inspire hope, discussion, and self-discovery, as well as to entertain. For example, I conceived the discussion questions for "Running to Stay Upright" as if the characters had come for a life coaching session, with the corollary goal to ignite inquiry for the reader and book groups.

I am currently writing a comfort book for people going through cancer treatment, having journeyed through a lumpectomy, alternative healing modalities, chemo, and radiation. As with my "coaching," I believe we are all the source of our best answers. I can only serve as a guide, as a reflection or catalyst for your own revelation and natural inner wisdom. The book will inspire, comfort, empower, and offer loving fellowship during a tough time.

During my treatment and at other challenging times, I find that my horses are an important component of my best medicine. They also offer their healing presence to Inner Wealth Coaching's clients, and their powerful lessons will no doubt contribute to a future book.

I hope you enjoy my books. And I wish you peace, joy, and love.
