Don Zminda

Chicago native Don Zminda (1948- ) retired in 2016 after two-plus decades with STATS LLC, where he served first as Director of Publications and then Director of Research for STATS-supported sports broadcasts that included such annual events as the World Series, the Super Bowl and the NCAA Final Four. A Northwestern University graduate (BJ Journalism, 1970), Don has written or edited over a dozen sports books, including the annual STATS Baseball Scoreboard (1990-2001), the STATS Scouting Notebook (1990-2001), Go-Go to Glory: The 1959 Chicago White Sox (2019), The Legendary Harry Caray: Baseball's Greatest Salesman (2019), and Double Plays and Double Crosses: The Black Sox and Baseball in 1920 (2021). A SABR member since 1979, Don lives in Los Angeles with his wife Sharon.
