Raywat Deonandan

Dr Raywat Deonandan is a tenured professor with the University of Ottawa and a former Chief Scientist with the Canadian federal government. The current holder of the Chair in University Teaching, he is also the recipient of several national and international writing awards, including the national book award of the nation of Guyana ("the Guyana Prize"), for his 1999 book, "Sweet Like Saltwater." Dr Deonandan is widely published in multiple languages and is renowned for his commitment to education, writing, and public science.
