John Waddington-Feather

John Waddington-Feather 1933-2017 was a school master and Anglican priest. For forty years he was a prison visitor and Assistant Chaplain at Shrewsbury Prison. He was born and brought up in Yorkshire and studied at Leeds University. He had a scholarly interest in Yorkshire Dialect and the phrases in his books such as ‘ t’boys’ and ‘ t’olden days’ are intentional representations of the Yorkshire Dialect spoken by some of the characters in the book and should not be regarded as typos.
