Tim Koller

Tim Koller is a partner at McKinsey & Company, based in New York. As a core leader of McKinsey’s Strategy and Corporate Finance Practice, he advises clients on topics such as value creation, corporate strategy, investor relations, dividend and share repurchase policy, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Driven by a passion for helping companies adopt a more long-term approach to value creation, Tim has co-authored Valuation: Measuring and Managing the Value of Companies (8th Edition available May 2025) and Value: The Four Cornerstones of Corporate Finance.

He founded McKinsey’s hub for financial and capital markets analysis and valuation, as well as McKinsey on Finance, the firm’s quarterly corporate finance publication. Tim frequently lectures on finance topics at leading business schools including Chicago Booth, Northwestern, Tuck, Columbia, and INSEAD.
