Brenda Murphy

Brenda Murphy's most recent books are fact-based historical fiction--When Light Breaks Through: A Salem Witch Trials Story, Becoming Carlotta: A Biographical Novel, and After the Voyage: An Irish American Story. She is the author of twenty books about American literary and cultural figures. Brenda taught American literature and drama, first at St. Lawrence University and then at The University of Connecticut. She lives in Maryland, surrounded by deer and horse farms.
