Broughton Coburn

Broughton Coburn, of Wilson, Wyoming, is a Visiting Assistant Professor for Colorado College, and has worked in Nepal, Tibet and India for more than two of the past four decades, overseeing development and environmental conservation efforts with the World Bank, Unesco, United Nations Development Program, World Wildlife Fund, and other agencies. He has written or edited nine books, including the two national bestsellers, National Geographic Books’ Everest: Mountain Without Mercy, and a collaboration with Jamling Tenzing Norgay, Touching My Father’s Soul: A Sherpa’s Journey to the Top of Everest. He lives in Wilson, Wyoming. With his wife Didi, who plays a critical role in Aama in America: A Pilgrimage of the Heart, they have two children and three grandchildren.
