In ordering from theoldmapman the buyer agrees to accept these terms and conditions which may be revised from time to time.

Each item has a listed price in UK Pounds sterling. Payment will only be accepted in £ Sterling (GBP). The buyer is responsible for the payment of any local taxes and duties.

Goods will not be despatched until payment has been cleared. Orders are normally sent within 2 working days of clearance of payment. We will send you an email when the order is dispatched. Shipping is not included in the listed prices.

All items are offered subject to availability as usually only a single copy is in stock and they remain the property of the seller until payment has been received in full. Sales from my own website and other platforms will be notified to AbeBooks as soon as possible.

If you are dissatisfied with your purchase or have simply changed your mind, you may return it for a full refund of the original costs but the return postage costs will only be returned at our discretion. If the goods differ materially from our description/illustration, we will also reimburse return postage costs. In either case you should email us immediately; the goods must then be returned in their original condition, in the original packing (or equivalent) & insured to their invoiced value. Reimbursement, allowing for any quantity discount given, will only be made on receipt of the goods. If a parcel contents appear damaged on delivery, please do not accept it & email us describing the problem so we can handle the claim. We will then reimburse the amount paid for the goods and postage. In the case of non-arrival, please inform us by email & we will reimburse the amount paid for the goods and postage, after checking with the carrier. If you wish to be reimbursed for goods under the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 you must return them to me in their original condition and pay for their return and insurance.

1. If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.

Statutory right to withdraw

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to theoldmapman, Number 1, Dart Road, BS21 6LS, Clevedon, Somerset, United Kingdom, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

1. The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
2. The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.

**All items are available if posted to UK destinations. ** £5 will cover single or multiple items up to 2 kg, 2nd class. OUTSIDE THE UK: As there is no longer a worldwide “cheap” postage service, books will not be sent out of the UK. No items will be sent to EU countries. Prints and maps will be sent to the USA and other non-EU destinations if they fit or will fold to 35 x 25 cm. Single or multiple items less than 100 grams - £6. Less than 250 grams - £10.
