An acrylic painting depicting a spotted faun and mother rabbit touching noses over a nest of bunnies. Painstakingly detailed to show virtually every hair on each animal. Signed and dated in lower left corner: Gerald W. Putt '80. The painting is matted and framed. Self-taught wildlife and nature artist Gerald W. Putt has won or placed in numerous other regional and national wildlife art competitions throughout his more than four-decade career as an artist. Most recently, he was declared the 2020 winner of the Pennsylvania Duck Stamp Competition, an award which he had one twelve times before. He has won similar competitions in other states as well, including North Carolina, Illinois, New Hampshire, and Colorado, and has been a top ten finalist many times for the Federal Duck Stamp Contest. Condition: Very Good. A well preserved ¼ in silver fish insect is between the glass and the mat near the top right corner and is not affecting either. Dimensions 33.5 x 39.5 inches. 1327606.
