The content of the print features various ornaments from the Middle Ages, including Moorish stucco, Early Christian mosaics, Byzantine mosaics and capitals, Arabic mosaics and miniatures, Romanesque wall paintings and enamels, Old French terracotta tiles and enamels, Old Swedish wall paintings, Gallic fibulae, Old Russian miniatures, Gothic arch fields, miniatures, initials, wall paintings, wood decorations, capitals, and embroidery, as well as Italian and Flemish miniatures. Additionally, there are carved spatulas for betel lime from Dore, New Guinea and an idol from Easter Island.
