After studying photography at the renowned Lette Verein in Berlin and Hamburg, he moved to New York in the mid-1990s, where he began his career after working as an assistant to Annie Leibovitz. Martin Schoeller works regularly for magazines such as »National Geographic«, »The New Yorker« and »Time Magazine«. His first book, Close Up (teNeues), was published in 2005, followed by several monographs, each representative of a different facet of Martin Schoeller's work. His photographs, available in exclusive editions, are in high demand on the art market and are exhibited in museums and other art institutions worldwide.
