Colour map / poster 63x89cm with Arabic text some of which translated into English. Good only, lightly crumpled with some closed tears and faint staining. This however would still look reasonably presentable framed. It has not been folded, and would be posted rolled in a tube. Dominating the image within a decorative border topped by the Royal Coat of Arms and two Silver Jubilee crests, is a large map of Jordan and Palestine as a single entitty with details for the West Bank, featuring Jerusalem and other major settlements, waterways, and part of the Iraq Petroleum Company Pipeline (with pumping stations H4 and H5). Above is a colour photo portrait of King Hussein in military dress, and the flags of the King, the Armed Forces, and the Kingdom. Around are 8 b/w illustrations showing views of the Dome of the Rock, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Roman theatre at Amman, Quseir Amra, Karak, Petra, Ajloun Castle, and a captioned photo of the letter from Muhammad to the Roman Emperor Heraclius inviting him to convert to Islam. At the foot is the Declaration of the Arab Revolt ("the Great Arab Revolution") dated 10 June 1916. Seller Inventory # 5082
