This screenprinted portrait of an elegantly attired dancer has her framed within a printed "postage stamp" border. Erté has signed in graphite lower right. This is print #118 of an edition of 300. Lower left has the blindstamp of Circle Gallery. Image is 13 1/4" x 7" printed on a 20 1/2" x 15 1/4" sheer of heavy stock paper. Romain de Tirtoff (Erté) (1892-1990), Russian-born artist, is most remembered for his cover art for Harper's Bazaar and his costume and set designs, establishing him as a major influencer in the Art Deco movement.
