He died November 26, 2001. Wolters was a fine painter and graphic artist, respected and admired by colleagues and students. He earned his B.F.A. and M.F.A. from the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland California. He continued studies in art at University of California, Berkeley, San Jose State University and University of Maryland. He was a teacher of studio art for 30 years. Mr. Wolters was invited to a plethora of one man shows where he was the recipient of an assortment of prizes.Wolters is the recipient of purchase and invitational prizes and other recognition including: Northern California Invitational, Oakland Museum California; Forty Now California Painters, Atlanta Museum, Georgia; Annual, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, California; Western Annual, Fry Museum, Seattle, Washington; Western Annual , Denver Museum, Colorado; and Auckland Society of the Arts, New Zealand. His work is owned in permanent private and corporate collections including: ATT; Container Corporation of America; California College of Arts and Crafts; Seattle First National Bank, Intel; MGM; American Consulate, New Zealand; Ithica College, Royal Viking Lines; and Bank of America. Wolters art has been influenced by the painters Richard Diebenkorn, Harry Krell and Cameron. Historical influences, style and philosophy include: Piet Mondrian, Kandinsky and Clifford Still.Provenance, Suzy Locke.

Most foreign shipments by airmail are $17.00 up to 1 pound or $60.00 up to 2.2 kilos by courier. For all other shipments, please inquire.
