A Sepia aquatint on copper print of COTTAGERS Plate 2. A tinted aquatint from the work "Microcosm" drawn & etche'd by W. H. Pyne and. Measures. Approx 9 x12 inches to plate line and 11 x 14 inches approx in total. *Note. Plate from 'Microcosm: or, a Picturesque Delineation of the Agriculture, Manufactures &c. of Great Britain'. Etching and aquatint London 1803-1806. This is dated 1807 printed on hand-made cartridge paper. A simply beautiful depiction of the lifestyle of these poor women of 1800, and a very strong strike of the image. Seller Inventory # A829

Also maps and Ephemera - in fact, anything interesting on paper really. We have in stock every item we list. We do not use stock photographs, but photograph each item individually. We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
