Item description from seller
Promotional silkscreen print for Ladislav Sutnar’s Build the Town building block set, a Bauhaus-inspired toy set composed of simple geometric wooden forms painted in primary colors, and designed to inspire creativity and imagination in children as they construct a modern metropolis. Self-published in 1943 by Sutnar. 8.5” x 11”, signed in stone “Sutnar” upper left corner. An uncirculated original print marred only by two small chips to the left upper edge. Both the toy set and the silkscreen print are in MoMA’s permanent collection. Scarce.
