The image size is ca. 19 x 24 cm. Size in inch: The overall size is ca. 8.7 x 11 inch. The image size is ca. 7.5 x 9.4 inch.Original stipple engraving titled: 'La Recreation.' (Recreation.) This delicate original print shows: a mother with two children who are making soap bubbles at a table. On the floor a dag walks around with a doll between its jaws. 1 of a series of 4: 'La Recreation - La recompense - La penitence - Le travail. Separately published master print. Our definition of master print is a seperately published print or series of prints, not being an illustrative print to a text. These can both be prints made by old masters (artists) or prints made by others (artists, engravers, etchers) after old masters. Augustin Claude Simon Le Grand (1765-1815) was a French artist and engraver.Condition: Very good given age. Edges of the sheet a little discoloured. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Very light creasing. In 2018 he decided to further develop his personal collection through 'Pictura Prints'. Peter has a background in design and landscape architecture and holds a degree in paper restauration. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL.
