Original copperplate engraving and etching on a verge type hand laid paper. Watermarks present, but nog visible on every sheet. on paper. Size in cm: The overall size is ca. 22 x 28 cm. The image size is ca. 10 x 16 cm. Size in inch: The overall size is ca. 8.7 x 11 inch. The image size is ca. 3.9 x 6.3 inch.Plate: 'Overblyfsel der Abdye te Rynsburg - Overblyfsel der Abdye te Rynsburg, 1730.' (Remains of the abbey of Rijnsburg - Same, The Netherlands, as they appeared in 1730.) Two views on one sheet. This original old antique print / plate / view originates from a Dutch book of town and city views called: 'Het verheerlykt Nederland of Kabinet van hedendaagsche gezigten', Amsterdam, 1746 edition. The exact dates the plates were engraved vary.Artists and Engravers: Hendrik Spilman (Dutch 1721-1784): Engraver and designer of mostly town and city views. Isaac Tirion (1705-1769) was a successful dutch publisher in Amsterdam who produced extensive volumes of Dutch town plans as well as a number of atlases with maps usually based on those of G. Delisle. His most well known atlas is 'Nieuwe en beknopte hand-atlas.'Condition: Excellent. General age related toning. Pictura Prints offers mostly antique prints, art, maps and books. Since 2004 the owner Peter Cornelissen started Theprintscollector and has been in business as a print and book seller. In 2018 he decided to further develop his personal collection through 'Pictura Prints'. Peter has a background in design and landscape architecture and holds a degree in paper restauration. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL. Expedited shipping or shipment through another carrier is available on request at a possible surcharge.
