Source unknown, to be determined. State: Second state of 2. Ref: Hollstein 126. Engraving on laid paper. Watermark: Foolscap. Made by 'Salomon Savery' after 'Thomas de Keyser'. Salomon Savery / Saverij (1594-1683) was an engraver from the Dutch artist family Savery. He was born in Amsterdam and died in Haarlem. He travelled to England in 1632. Thomas de Keyser (1596-1667) was a popular portrait artist from Amsterdam. Good, given age. Thread margins, thin spot verso upper left corner, some small stains in print. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. The overall size is ca. 13.1 x 18.4 cm. The image size is ca. 12.9 x 18 cm.
