One of the few truly sublime NPR Pledge Drive give-aways, the "This American Life" Paint-By-Number Set is the epitome of Public-Radio-Nerd cool. There are two images inspired by stories from the show to paint: THE GOLDEN APPLE 24-HOUR DINER in Chicago on a slow night, and SQUIRREL COP in action. -- Never opened, still sealed in the original high quality plastic bag. Kit includes two 9"x12" canvases (actually very heavy board), 14 colors in little containers with lids, four empty containers for mixing colors, one brush, and what I assume are complete instructions. I've never opened the kit (it's quite the work of art all by itself), so can't guarantee the paint is still good; it is from the halcyon days of 2007, after all. The pics are a bit unfocussed as they were taken through the plastic bag. The last pic is of the complete set [image found on the Internet Archive Wayback Machine].
