André Minaux , born September 5 , 1923in Paris and died on October 4, 1986in Provins 1 , is a French painter , sculptor , illustrator , engraver and lithographer . He participated in the Young Painting movement in the 1950s . Later, he was part of the group L'Homme Témoin . It belongs to the School of Paris . Biography André Minaux, born to a father from Lorraine , a fabric merchant and decorator 2 , and a mother from Provence , completed his secondary studies at the Jesuit college on rue de Madrid in Paris 3 . He was introduced to art by his father who took him to exhibitions and with whom he painted on Sundays. In 1940, Minaux entered the School of Decorative Arts where he was a student of Maurice Brianchon who appreciated his gifts 2 and Roland Oudot . In 1945, he completed his military service in Avignon where he discovered Provençal light, notably through the painting of André Marchand, marks his pictorial sensitivity 4 .
