The composition is 20 7/8" x 20 7/8" on heavy wove paper measuring: 25 3/8" x 23 3/8". It is signed and editioned in graphite along the bottom margin, AP XIII/XLV, with a Circle Gallery blindstamp at the lower left corner. This imagery was originally used for Eau Sauvage cologne by Christian Dior. Rene Gruau (1909-2004) was a fashion illustrator with a distinctive, aspirational aesthetic that continues to influence the worlds of fashion, advertising and design. His work was favored by Christian Dior, his sensibility helped to define the legendary brand. Gruau did work for numerous fashion houses and magazines, including Marie-Claire, Vogue, Balenciaga, Balmain and Lanvin. Condition: Very good condition. Seller Inventory # PR00624
