853 pp., & a few plates, 8vo half black leather + marble, leather label. For an early educational book in remarkably good condition, only v sl wear at extremities. Copac identifies the author of this rare book as John Mavor but lists only two 1826 copies. This is a very comprehensive educational book, a true educational vade mecum, still useable as DIY today! & more or less indispensible before full national school education. the book is rare & though well used still in excellent shape as a whole, despite a few pages poorly printed. Size: 8vo.
