Print on Demand. This book takes an innovative approach to the teaching of introductory science to grade school children. The author, a veteran elementary teacher, proposes a unique method to foundational scientific concepts through captivating stories about geology, specifically the transformations of limestone, quartz, coal, and coral reefs. Beginning with the observation of natural phenomena and everyday occurrences, the book then cleverly leads children into the world of lime, sandstone, glass, and more.
