A Year in China - 1899-1900. By Clive Bigham and printed in London by Macmillan. 1901, 234 pp, 8.75 x 5.5 , library cloth rebinding. In as-is condition, with wear to the edges of boards and outer spine. Flyleaf pages included in the rebind have all yellowed and become detached. Some hinge wear at the front and back of book. Ex-library from the Free Library of Philadelphia, with a bookplate on the front pastedown, the library s name stamped through the title page and corners of photographs, as well as small markings elsewhere. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce work that documents the author s travels throughout China as part of the British delegation in Peking.
