2nd edition, revised and enlarged. 143 pages + 4 preliminary pages announcing changes to the examination for the Yachting Certificate of Competency. coloured plate of signal flags, folding frontispiece chart and one other plate, plus illustrations in the text. good clean condition hardback in the original blue cloth, but with remnants of paper labels removed from front and rear covers. the standard late 19th and early 20th century yachting textbook. later editions are quite common, but scarce to find an early edition.
