n.d., ca. 1940. 6 1/2" x 4 1/2". Six page preface by Charlotte Bronte. Six page introduction by Rose Macaulay. Original green cloth (spine faded). No dust jacket. Very good. 390 pages + 6 pages ads. Signed by Walter Wanger (but not inscribed), boldly in ink on front free endpaper. Wagner (1894-1968) was a producer, director, held executive offices at major studios. From the library of noted "Gone With The Wind" Hollywood director George Cukor with his Paul Landacre Bookplate on the front pastedown. Seller Inventory # 2221378
