Garrett was just another jaded New Yorker, enduring obnoxious neighbors and coughing up a fortune for a rat-infested Hell's Kitchen apartment. But on the late December afternoon, a bloodworm burrows into his brain, devouring his sanity from within. As his mind deteriorates, Garrett finds himself in a whirlwind of violence, leaving a trail of corpses strewn through the bowels of lower Manhattan.

NYPD officers Luca Han and Mel Tredo are thrust into a New Year's Eve nightmare, racing against the clock to hunt down the homicidal spree killer before he can claim another victim. Can they capture the savage madman in a squirming sea of potential victims before the Times Square ball drops?
