Worth the Wait is a raw, heartfelt, and often unexpectedly humorous memoir about what happened when Andrea Wait's life cracked wide open-and instead of falling apart, she learned to speak up, stand tall, and walk her own path. When Andrea Wait received a life-changing cancer diagnosis, she didn't just face the fear and uncertainty of illness; she faced her lifelong habit of staying quiet about her needs. What followed was a reckoning-with doctors, with grief, with the medical system, and, most importantly, with herself. In this deeply personal narrative, presented in diary form, Andrea takes readers from hospital rooms to the winding trails of the Camino de Santiago, sharing how she moved from patient to powerful participant in her own healing. Along the way, she finds something she never expected: her voice. This is not just a cancer story; it's a story about waking up-about reclaiming your story, one brave word at a time. Worth the Wait will inspire anyone navigating illness, change, or the quiet nudge to finally speak their truth.…
