About this Item
No stated date c1920. xi, 312pp. Leonard Merrick (1864-1939) was an English novelist. Although largely forgotten today, he was widely admired by his peers; J. M. Barrie called Merrick the "novelist's novelist." 'The Worldlings' is a novel first published in 1900. The copy for sale is part of a uniform edition of Merrick's works, and contains an introduction by Neil Munro. The book is bound in the original blue cloth covered boards with gold titling on the spine and an entwined 'LM' stamped in gold on the front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with some shelf wear on the boards and light bumping to the spine ends. The contents are tight and clean with no inscription. There is browning with some foxing on the half-title page and last page of the book. Seller Inventory # LitMerrick01
