Title: World War Two Male Gag Stag Gift Humor ...
Publisher: No Publisher, No Place
Publication Date: 1943
Book Condition: Very Good
Edition: 1st Edition
Offered is a delightful "gag" gift - possibly given to the groom at his stag party before the wedding - made during World War II or during the few years following the war. The gag gift is a hollowed out book (entitled "We Can Win This War" written by W. F. Kernan and published by Little, Brown and Company in 1943 and is the actual binding). Professionally printed and pasted to the front cover is an illustration of a bride and groom with the text as I've indicated on the Title line. When one opens the book, pasted to the rear paste-down endpaper, which one can see by looking down through the hollowed pages, is the mid-portion of the female anatomy - her private area is covered and chained with a Yale lock made out of paper in silver, black and red (the text reads: "NOT TO BE OPENED UNTIL AFTER THE Ceremony"). Condition: light wear to covers; the top edge of the Yale lock shows a short closed tear. Bookseller Inventory # 009949
