186pp. Thin card wraps with French flaps. 8vo. Covers worn, rubbed and a little soiled at edges. Text block edges soft and a little toned. Toning around hinges and some minor signs of handling throughout but generally internally neat, clean and bright. A volume designed to help the Christian evaluate some of the challenges facing the world in the middle of the 20th century, with sections on Christian standards and values and ideals, followed by specific analysis of their application to world hunger and population, peace and war in the atomic age, Christianity and communism, race relations, nationalism and Church and state. Cyril Garbett was Archbishop of York from 1943 to 1955.
