Print on Demand. This book sets out with a bold mission, to explore the place of the American people in the divine schema of a just and righteous humanity. The author delves into the spiritual needs and mission of America, weaving together the country's economic and democratic growth with the evolution of a new, homegrown expression of Christianity. The main focus of the work is the proposition that America holds a vital role in the spread of religious understanding and that the vitality of the nation's Christianity will determine its success. While the author acknowledges the nation's flaws, the overall tone remains optimistic, envisioning a future where the tenets of Christianity are fully realized in the American experience, leading to a more just and equitable society. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

- Motivational
The author surveys the problems of poverty, redemption, and institutional reform, urging religion to focus on real-life transformation rather than salvage work. The selections advocate rebuilding missionary structures, embracing practical leadership, and aligning church efforts with American social realities. Readers will encounter a candid look at how missions connect to daily life, public opinion, and the responsibilities of faith communities.
- Explores the relationship between poverty, spiritual life, and social reform
- Critiques current methods in mission work and calls for systemic change
- Discusses the need for an authentic American church that reflects national character
- Frames missions as a proactive, preventive force rather than a rescue operation
Ideal for readers of religious history, mission studies, and church leadership who want a provocative, historically grounded perspective on how faith groups can better serve society.
