Publisher's slipcase included. 2 inch tear to lower slipcase edge. Bindings tight and square, pages clean, bright, and unmarked. 1992 Hard Cover. Complete in four volumes. "The struggle to halt Hitler's domination of Europe was long and hard fought. In North Africa and Stalingrad the Allies turned the tide on the German juggernaut, preparing the way for the Normandy invasion and the final push to Berlin. The Fate of Europe presents the work of four distinguished historians. Taken together their analyses of these decisive campaigns show that the defeat of Hitler was by no means certain, and that underlying momentous events are acts of heroism and great personal sacrifice.
