All volumes are full leather with 5 raised bands to spine with title gilt on red to spine.in 2nd compartment. gilt volume number in 2nd and gilt decoration in others. 6 volumes have title piece missing but still readable. 4 volumes have front covers off. Most have printed armorial bookplate of John Spencer esq. on reverse of front cover and Adam Roxburgh written above.Most have b/w frontis.illustrations and vol.21 has fold out map of Russian Empire in Europe and Asia.
