Print on Demand. This book presents a collection of humorous letters written in verse by an Irish character named FUDGE. The letters give an account of the author's visit to Paris while spying in service to the government. The letters satirize the political climate of Ireland and England offering social commentary on topics in the news at the time of publication. The author uses the FUDGE character to deliver critiques on political figures and their policies, offer opinions on current debates, and provides a window into the social and political climate of the time. The book is significant in its satirical approach, offering an early example of this type of writing that would go on to become a more common feature in later political discourse. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
