In a hardcover with brown cloth spine with gilt titles to label, grey boards. No dust jacket. 601 pp., gilt top edged. The book is in good condition with minor shelf-wear to the extremities of the cover, especially the head of the spine; the spine is sunned and there is light tanning to the edges of the boards. The binding is tight. There is a former owner's library label to the front paste down and a former owner's name, place and date to the ffep. There is quite heavy foxing to the end papers and fly leaves. The pages are irregularly cut, some are uncut; there is minor damage and tanning to the fore edge of tthe wider pages. Otherwise the pages are clean and unmarked.
