In a hardcover with brown cloth spine with gilt titles to label, grey boards. No dust jacket. Black and white photograph to frontispiece. 400 pp., gilt top edged. The book is in good condition with minor shelf-wear to the extremities of the cover, especially the head of the spine; the spine is sunned. The binding is tight. There is a former owner's library label to the front paste down and a former owner's name, place and date to the ffep. There is quite heavy foxing to the end papers and fly leaf. The pages are irregularly cut, some are uncut; there is minor damage and tanning to the fore edge of tthe wider pages. There is a small mark to the last page. Otherwise the pages are clean and unmarked.
