Ex-library reference with stamps to several pp and a label marked "O" to the front ep. Much of the text in Latin. Reprint of the original work of 1661, the modern version printed by Henry Cockburn and Thomas Maitland for presentation to the Maitland Club. From the collection of Wayne Prescott Suttles, renowned anthropologist, scholar, and linguist regarding many Pacific cultures, and especially the U.S. Pacific Northwest Coast Salish people. Provenance provided upon request. Condition notes: 179 numbered pp +1; HB. Pages: clean, ivory, tight, dk topstain, yellow eps, sm frontis; a.e. tanned, foxed, front hinge sprung, back hinge cracked, ffep shaken and laid in, lfep just hanging in there. Cover: brown cloth w/ green leather backstrip, gilt titles spine, 4 false raised bands; moderate shelfwear, extrems worn, front joint leather cracking, spine sunned/soiled.
