About this Item
This is number 698 of a set limited to 1200 copies. As the author states in his introduction, each title stands on its own, but the volumes are numbered to twenty. The titles are: Pioneers of the New World (2 volumes) The Jesutits in North America (2 volumes) LaSalle and the Discovery of the Old West (two volumes) The Old Regime in Canada (2 volumes) Count Frontenac and theNew France under Louis XIV ((2 volumes) A Half-Century of Conflict (2 volumes) Montcalm and Wolfe (3 volumes) The Conspiracy of Pontiac (3 volumes) and The Oregon Trail (2 volumes). Attractively bound in green buckram, with paper spine labels printed in red and black. An interesting feature is that each volume has two pristine copies of its spine label attached to the rear endpaper. T.e.g. Some faint foxing to prelims, and very light toning to some labels (which can be replaced) but in general a fine copy of a handsome set. Seller Inventory # 008013
