(ii), frontispiece, xviii, 742pp. Bound in full light brown leather, with gilt lettering over black label on spine, and gilt rule to spine. Volume admits to general medium wear to exterior, including small tears, rubbed and worn areas, and several faint, largely inoffensive stains. The first several leaves, including the frontispiece leaf, are starting a little and will require some care in handling. A previous owner's ink-stamp to front paste-down, along with minor stains and medium foxing to paper. Minor, unobtrusive pencil to a small number of leaves. Overall, generally speaking, foxing is heaviest in the beginning and ending of the volume. Many pages admit to creasing, with several leaves a little damaged and admitting to heavier creasing, though there is no effect on the reading of the text. Overall, a good, sound copy that maintains much of its original charm. Seller Inventory # 039730
